Panic on the hill

I am currently writing about the ‘hidden story’ of being married to an addict. I thought I might stat sharing some excerpts every now and then to my lovely subscribers. I am not sure whether this will all end up in a book, but it’s been a very healing thing for me to write and process and make peace with things that happened.

This little snippet was from January 2019. Nick had spent five weeks in a rehab on the Sunshine Coast in December. He did very intense therapy there, I wish he’d never gone. They opened him right up and then spat him back out into the world. I have a million regrets about this particular time. We’d just spent a week together as a family on holiday on the Sunshine Coast.
